Prairie Hearth
"a unique shopping experience in a beautiful country setting"
Prairie Hearth is in our 18th year and specializes in primitive country crafts and art, all unique and
Nebraska made.
Owners Tracy and Bryan Kindler began the store in 1992, converting one of their
eighty year old out-buildings into a store behind their country home. The home
and buildings had originally been built by Bryan's great-great uncle and aunt,
Fred and Martha Engel, who at one time had raised chickens in the store
building.
Prairie Hearth is located 3 miles South of Fremont, Nebraska on Hwy. 77 to
District 11 Country School, then 3/4 of a mile West. If coming from Omaha,
Nebraska, take Hwy 64 (Maple St) west to Hwy 77, then go North to our corner, or
take Hwy 92 (Center St.) west to Hwy 77, then go North to our corner. If coming
from the Lincoln, Nebraska area, take Hwy 77 North. We're just 45 minutes north
of the I-80 & Hwy 77 Junction.
Thanks for visiting our site and hope to see you soon..
